Countless magnificent trails, from low hills to high mountains, for all levels of fitness.

Some suggestions:

  • In Cuneo, the GESSO AND STURA FLUVIAL PARK (www.parcofluvialegessostura.it)
  • “Muntuben a Muntumal” in Montemale di Cuneo, near Dronero; four marked and signposted trails…a “carousel” for mountain bike enthusiasts! www.muntubenamuntumal.it
  • The “Sentiero sul Maira,” 51 km from Villar San Costanzo to Racconigi, along the Maira River
  • The “Tajaré Bike Park” in Rittana (www.tajare.it)
  • The “Strada dei Cannoni” on the ridge between the Maira and Varaita Valleys
  • The Gardetta plateau, accessible from three valleys (Maira, Grana, and Stura Valleys)
  • The “Rampignado” in Cervasca, a permanent route of the famous MTB granfondo (www.rampignado.com)
  • The Via del Sale in Limone Piemonte
  • The downhill track in Rossana

ROAD BIKE RIDING

Road bike enthusiasts are spoiled for choice!

  • The champions’ climbs, the famous hills where the Giro d’Italia has passed several times: Colle Fauniera, Colle dell’Agnello, Colle di Esischie, Colle di Sampeyre, Colle della Lombarda, Sant’Anna di Vinadio; Depending on your training, you can tackle them individually or in combination (like in the Granfondo La Fausto Coppi! www.faustocoppi.net ).
  • The climb to Prato Nevoso, the finish line of the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France.
  • The climb to Colle di Tenda (Vermenagna Valley).
  • The climbs to Lago delle Rovine and Terme di Valdieri (Gesso Valley).
  • The Colle della Maddalena (Stura Valley).
  • The climb to Pian del Re at the source of the Po River (Po Valley).

Or you can choose slightly less challenging circular routes on flat or hilly terrain: you decide how many kilometers you want to cover!
